Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the conclusion of his jurisprudence lesson at the Great Mosque of Qom, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli referred to the words of Imam Ali (PBUH) that “He does not prevent the oppressor from being humiliated,” and added: “If a nation believes that life in this world is limited to a few breaths and that martyrdom is the true fragrance of life, it will not fear threats or pressures. Islam therefore emphasizes honor and resistance, as the Commander of the Faithful (PBUH) said: ‘Return the stone to where it came from. Be a man and live a manly life.’”
The senior scholar noted that in the traditions of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), honor is described as a divine trust: “Just as a woman’s honor is a trust of God, which even she cannot violate, the honor of a believer is also a trust. Thus, no individual or nation has the right to humiliate itself or forfeit its dignity.”
Ayatollah Javadi Amoli emphasized that according to the Infallible Imams (PBUH), “Allah has entrusted all affairs to the believer, but He has not permitted him to be humiliated.” He added that nations, too, have no right to accept humiliation or destroy their honor in a degrading manner.
Concluding his remarks, he prayed: “May Allah, by the sanctity of the honor of the infallible and pure Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH), protect this country from all dangers until the appearance of its true owner.”
